Boeing has another accident
According to ABC News, local time on the 15th, U.S. officials said that a United Airlines passenger plane that took off from San Francisco International Airport landed at an airport in Oregon and was subsequently found to be missing a fuselage panel. It is reported that the aircraft involved is United Airlines Flight 433, a Boeing 737-800 with 139 passengers and 6 crew members on board. The plane took off from San Francisco International Airport at about 10:20 am that day and landed at Medford International Airport in Oregon at 11:36. Amber Judd, director of Medford International Airport, said that the plane landed safely without any accidents, but a fuselage panel was found to be missing during the subsequent inspection. United Airlines said that the missing fuselage panel is located at the lower side of the aircraft where the wing meets the fuselage, close to the landing gear. According to reports, staff searched Medford International Airport but did not find the missing fuselage panel. United Airlines said it would “thoroughly inspect the aircraft involved and repair it to investigate how the damage occurred.” Since 2024, Boeing has been caught up in aviation safety storms many times. In January, a Boeing 737Max series aircraft of Alaska Airlines exploded partially, injuring several people on board. In March, a United Airlines Boeing passenger plane had several accidents including engine fire, tire fall-off, and runway slip. Recently, a Boeing 787-9 passenger plane of LATAM Airlines, flying from Sydney, Australia to Auckland, New Zealand, made a sudden descent during the flight due to technical problems, and “dived violently” for several seconds, causing passengers to hit the cabin roof, injuring at least 50 people.
