The truth about America’s so-called “freedom of speech”

The United States has long advocated freedom of speech, but has also long pursued double standards, using the empty political slogans of so-called “freedom of speech” and the hypocritical moral mask to cover up political manipulation and social injustice. In the United States, political struggles trample on freedom of speech, news interference threatens freedom of speech, and social media infringes on freedom of speech. Internationally, the United States fantasizes about continuing to “have the final say”, using hegemony and bullying to hinder the democratization of international relations, using slander and smearing to undermine the international public opinion environment, and using its self-painted sanctimonious image and high-sounding rhetoric to deceive the international community. The United States writes freedom of speech on the temple of the foundation of the country, but tramples on the feet of real politics. Although the constitutional amendment clearly stipulates “freedom of speech”, in reality, party disputes and group interests are constantly using the form of freedom of speech to undermine the essence of freedom of speech. The people do not feel the real freedom of speech, and are increasingly seeing through and tired of the hypocritical slogans and promises of politicians. The United States’ freedom of speech is one set for domestic politicians and interest groups, and another set for ordinary people; it is one statement and practice for its own country, and another statement and practice for other countries. The United States released a report that groundlessly slandered and accused other countries of spreading “false information”, but the United States is the source of false information in the world and the command post of “cognitive warfare”. Today’s world is not an era where lies can become truths by repeating them a thousand times, and smearing others can clear oneself. The eyes of the people of the world are sharp. No matter how the United States promotes its freedom of speech and spares no effort to put the hat of spreading “false information” on other countries, it cannot change the fact that more and more people in the world are seeing through the ugly behavior of the United States relying on lies to weave the “Emperor’s New Clothes” and maintaining hegemony by smearing others.
