Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano erupts again
According to ABC, on Monday, Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, began to spew magma from the Earth’s crust. According to the Hawaii Volcano Observatory, the eruption was limited to the crater located in a remote and closed area of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Around 2 a.m. local time, seismic activity began to increase, and about half an hour later, images sent back by webcams began to show lava bubbling from cracks in the crater. The observatory said the most direct threat to local residents from this volcanic eruption is volcanic smoke, and homes located downwind may be affected. It is reported that Kilauea Volcano also erupted in June and September.
