Other social media users shared another notification from TikTok from TikTok which said: “TikTok is at risk of being shut down in the US. Call your representative now.”
T”This is my message to TikTok: break up with the Chinese Communist Party or lose access to your American users,” Republican Representative Mike Gallagher, who serves as the chairman of the House Select Committee on the CCP, said in a statement announcing the legislation. “America’s foremost adversary has no business controlling a dominant media platform in the United States. TikTok’s time in the United States is over unless it ends its relationship with CCP-controlled ByteDance.”
